Hypertext : future language

The idea is to condense each word into the width of a single letter form. In design termonology this is called tracking. This condensed form creates a compact language that would allow for more information to pass using less space and less time. Using Helvetica as a letterform, words become iconic and logo-like, playing with horizontal scale and playfully obscuring the readability.

Why not turn language into something iconic and what will become of it in the future? Instead of this left to right reading, there would be a time when it becomes instantaneous and cacaphonic, everything at once.

If time is non-linear then why not language? Okay, this is absurd. I love design and typfaces, helvetica in particular. These painting are all using Helvetica, so that we have a common thread and cohesion for this body. The slide above is Perfect Nature. The painting below is a drawing on stretched vinyl, the title is "To live in the future" and the letters are spelled out in the painting itself.
