About
James is an American artist, now living in Paris.
Artmaking for me is a dialog with myself, where I find answers to my own questions. An outlet for my hopes and anxieties. Ideas for new possibilities and fragments of visual poems that have been collected and reformulated. Making art today is an act of rebellion and resistance, to make something without consuming media or contributing to a system that is now part of our motivations and impulses.
